100% Human

Me vs. Machines

Me vs. Machines is the new project from Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Brent Mathews — and the name is the mission. In a music world increasingly shaped by AI and automation, Me vs. Machines is a deliberate stand for the opposite: songs that are written, played, and sung by a human being. Raw, emotional, and 100% human.

Mathews isn't new to this. Over more than two decades he's earned real credentials the hard way — a top-five national finalist in a songwriting search backed by MTV and Universal Records, where his one-take submission caught the ear of A&R. He's fronted bands, walked away from music for a corporate career, and then chose to come back to it full time.

Me vs. Machines is the next chapter — sharper, more purposeful, and built around a simple belief: the machines can generate, but they can't feel. The debut single “Planes” lands everywhere on August 21, 2026.
